If you choose to cancel enrollment in a program 20 days or fewer prior to the program start date, we are not able to offer any refunds unless we are able to fill your child’s spot. If we do fill their spot, you will receive a full refund, minus the $50 per session non-refundable deposit.
If you need to cancel enrollment in a program after the program has begun we are unable to offer any refunds. Due to the small nature of our program, we are not able to offer any discounts or refunds for missed days of the session.
If your child is attending 2 days/week and misses a day of the session, you are welcome to check with us to see if there is space on an alternate day though we cannot guarantee there will be space to make up the missed day.
In the event that The Play Project needs to cancel a program for any reason before it has begun, families will receive a full refund, minus the $50 per session non-refundable deposit.
HEALTH & WELLNESS INFORMATION
We will ask participants to wash or sanitize their hands upon arrival and departure, as well as before and after meals and going the bathroom. When soap and water are unavailable, we will use hand sanitizer. Please pack a small bottle of hand sanitizer in your child’s backpack.
If your child is showing signs of illness, please do not bring them to camp that day! Prior to program start, please notify The Play Project if any members of the household are experiencing COVID-19 or flu symptoms. By showing up to The Play Project’s programs, the parent/guardian is attesting:
The participant(s) are symptom-free, including symptoms attributed to COVID-19 and flu, and
The participant(s) have not been in close contact with anyone with confirmed COVID-19 or had a positive COVID-19 test in the last 10 days
WEATHER, WILDFIRE SMOKE, & AIR QUALITY POLICY
As an outdoor program, we enjoy being outside rain or shine!
In the case of hazardous winds, we will attempt to reschedule for Friday of the same week. If this is not possible, no refunds will be offered for the missed day.
If lightning is forecast for the day, we may meet at an alternate location to ensure that covered structures are available.
In the case of summer wildfire smoke and air quality concerns, we will still meet if conditions are “moderate.” If conditions are “unhealthy for sensitive groups” or worse, we will cancel programming for the day. If only one day of the program is cancelled, no refunds will be offered for the missed day. If two or more days in a week are cancelled, you may request a 50% refund per day for the total number of cancelled days, minus the $50 non-refundable deposit. To request a refund, please contact Kelsey.
We will let families know by 8:30am if we need to cancel programming for the day.
TREE NUT POLICY
Our tree nut policy is dependent on whether or not there are serious food allergies in our group for each session. We will send out an update on our policy for the upcoming session when we have received all the information needed to make such a decision. Please be prepared to not include any tree nuts (including pine nuts and peanuts) in your child’s lunch or snack. Seeds are okay and sunflower seed butter is a great alternative to peanut/nut butters.
CHILD ABUSE POLICY
We are required by law to report any suspicion of child abuse or neglect to the proper authorities, in accordance with Washington State law.
