Just Write!

Just write? Is it that easy? It can be! Together we will let loose our creativity, writing quickly to prompts from poetry, nature, and the body. We will practice being messy, getting out of our own way, and letting our internal critics rest so our truer voice(s) can come forth, building intimacy and trust with ourselves and each other as we go (and having FUN). We will start each session with a short embodiment or connection exercise and spend the bulk of our time writing and sharing, writing and sharing. This group is for humans with all different backgrounds in writing. No specific experience is necessary. Really! You are welcome just as you are.

Thank you for your interest in Just Write!

Seven to ten days before the start of the writing group, or as soon as the group is full, Kelsey will send an email out with the names of everyone in the group. If you notice a confidentiality conflict with someone in the group, please let Kelsey know as soon as possible.

COVID-19 INFORMATION & RISK MANAGEMENT:
These writing groups are open to all individuals. Together we can do our best to reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19 by each of us tending to our overall well-being and the health of our immune systems. If you (or anyone in your household) is experiencing COVID-19 symptoms* or have had possible exposure to COVID-19, please inform Kelsey and stay home. Masks are required inside and optional if we gather outside. Please wear a mask (not a bandana or scarf) that covers your mouth and nose and will remain in place when moving or speaking. It is okay to take masks off at the window if you need a break and when drinking water. We will open windows and have fans on to maximize airflow in the space. If the COVID-19 situation changes over the course of these groups and some of these protocols no longer feel necessary, we can discuss shifting them as a group. Thank you for your extra care and attention to your individual and our collective well-being during this time.
