COMIC & SOUL
May 16-18, 2025
An Open Floor Workshop
weaving dance, art, story, & song
Inside out. Upside down.
Tension is high. People aren’t sure what to do.
Even the sun herself has taken to hiding in her cave…
Enter: Comic & Soul
It feels good to inhabit your aliveness--to dig deep, explore the cracks, & not jump out of the mess too soon!
An antidote to the heaviness of these times, art & movement provide pathways to humor, play & grit. You don’t have to know where it leads. As we remember how to have fun & revel in the magic that is possible, grief and joy have space to dance together. We may even find a third way through.
Bring yourself with all your facets & sides.
Heck, bring 10 friends, too!
If you’d like to donate to the COMIC & SOUL scholarship fund, you can do so here!
“soulful. intuitive. good at holding space. courageous. depth of being-with. grounded. earthy delight. literally top-notch.”
Monika Denise precedes death by showing up with creativity & depth. She’s known to friends & souljourners as a “doula for the big emotions.” MD is a soul medicine guide, art therapist, grief tender & song catcher. She is learning to accept the fact that she is funny.
“gentle. fierce. warm. intuitive. grounded. invested. funny. her authenticity is contagious. she just keeps getting better & better.”
Kelsey Maloney precedes death by napping, swimming, & cuddling her cat. Kelsey is an Open Floor Movement Teacher, grief tender, storyteller, & above all, a human being with a very human heart. She’s one of the funnier people she knows.
