THE MOMENTUM OF MYSTERY
A 7-week Open Floor Movement Lab
The Mystery of MOMENTUM:
Feels great when you’ve got it! But when you lose it?
When you detour down some side alley you can’t find your way out of? What happens then? MYSTERY. That’s the water we’re swimming in, really. There’s so much we don’t know. Despite all our efforts and striving—there’s something much bigger than us at play.
In this Open Floor Movement Lab, we’ll explore pathways to accessing momentum. We’ll investigate the detours we encounter along the way, feeling into when to meet ourselves just as we are (water to water) and when it helps to add fire to propel us into new territory.
As we lean into the Open Floor core movement resources of activate & settle, release, pause, and ground, we’ll practice TRUSTING we’re right where we need to be. Together, we’ll build a container that allows us to resource, connect, and gather allies (both inside and outside of ourselves).

DATES & TIMES:
Thursdays October 24-December 12, 6:30-9pm (no lab Thursday 11/28)
& Saturday Nov. 2, 11am-6:30pm
Please note that we will gather at a nearby restaurant for a group dinner on November 2. Location TBA. Participants are responsible for the cost of their meal.
LOCATION:
Presence Studio, 1412 Cornwall Ave. Bellingham, WA 98225.
Please note: Presence Studio is only accessible by stairs. If you need assistance accessing the studio, please contact Kelsey.
PAYMENT DETAILS:
$350-$475 sliding scale
After registering, you will a receive an invoice with information for how to pay via check/credit card/or WECU transfer. (If you sign up between September 26-October 10, you will receive an invoice after October 10 due to Kelsey traveling in a remote place without internet access.)
$426-475: When I pay more, I am helping the facilitators support themselves and contributing to those in the community who can’t pay as much.
$425: When I pay in the middle, I am helping the facilitators cover costs.
$350-424: When I pay less, I am letting my community hold and support me.
All payment levels are acceptable ways of participating!
2-part payment plan available for $237.50/payment:
First payment due upon registration. Second payment due by Nov. 7, 2024.
3-part payment plan available for $158.33/payment:
First payment due upon registration. Second payment due by Nov. 7, 2024. Third payment due by Dec. 2, 2024.
PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT:
The Momentum of Mystery is a time for you and it is a time for us, as a collective. The intention is to create a container together where we are real and honest to our experience and also there to build cohesion and momentum as a group. Your attendance and participation are an important part of this exploration. How do we practice tending to our own needs while also showing up in community? Barring any unforeseen circumstances or health concerns, please do your best to not miss more than ONE session and to arrive on time to each session. If you know beforehand that you will miss more than one session, please contact Kelsey before registering.
Several days before the start of the lab, Kelsey will send an email out with the names of everyone in the group. If you notice a confidentiality conflict with someone in the group, please let Kelsey know as soon as possible.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
If you need to cancel before Oct. 10, you will receive a refund minus a $75 administrative fee. After Oct. 10, there are no refunds unless we are able to fill your spot. If we are able to fill your spot, you will receive a refund minus the $75 administrative fee.
